Emergency Planning and Community-Right-To-Know

Emergency planning has become a priority due to recent events and natural disasters.  Also known as EPCRA (Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act), the Emergency Planning & Community Right-to-Know Act was enacted by Congress as the national legislation on community safety. This law is designed to help local communities protect public health, safety, and the environment from chemical hazards. As part of SARA Title III, facilities subject to this regulation are required to submit annual reports detailing how certain materials are used, stored, or released into the environment.  Aspen Environmental can help determine the applicability of this regulation to your facility and assist in the preparation of reports to the EPA/DEP.

Emergencies in workplaces in the United States occur on a daily basis.  Effective emergency preparedness is essential to the protection of life and property. The Occupational Safety and health Administration (OSHA) estimates that losses can be reduced tremendously if proper safety precautions and preparation at job sites are initiated. There are multiple and overlapping Federal regulations requiring facilities to develop emergency action or emergency response plans. A particular facility may be subject to one or more of the following federal regulations that require a facility to prepare emergency action plans:

Aspen Environmental can assist your facility in establishing procedures to identify and respond to emergency situations, and for preventing and mitigating the environmental impacts that may be associated with them.  We can develop an integrated emergency action plan (also called an Integrated Contingency Plan) that is designed to be in compliance with all of the above overlapping regulations.  This integrated plan provides a mechanism for consolidating multiple plans that facilities may have prepared to comply with various regulations into one functional emergency response plan.
